Update soon ... |
Just wanted to put this front and center. I am sorry not to have replied to further posts ... just an overwhelming time. Things are looking up. We are cautiously optimistic. He is stabilized, though we still aren't sure what happened. I will post a more detailed update as soon as I can.
Everyone's thoughts and kind words here have truly meant the world to me.

That's great to hear. This should go without saying, but it makes all the difference in the world that you're paying attention to him and looking for answers. I daresay that lots of other parents would just pour another drink and hope the problem goes away (or moves out).

I daresay he'd prefer if we were paying a little less attention to him ... but no actually, I think you're right. He does trust us and knows we are trying to help.

By far and away the single most important factor in fighting this demon. At times for us it was the only rock the three of us could cling to. That and our faith, but I realize that doesn't work for everyone - not a directed comment, just what it is.
I hope you resolve your problem quickly - ours was a battle (there were contributing factors) that took a little longer than anyone should have to put up with, but we came through to the other side even stronger. Things are great now.
I have no doubt you will get through this life challenge. I'll keep you and family ring in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, to be more accurate, it 'pops out' from the top of the sail and breaks the surface - slow so there's no feather of course. Then you hear "No close contacts" and get on about your business, or "Emergency Deep" - which sometimes sounds a lot like "Holy Shit!!"
So much for the big ocean theory.
But who's quibbling?
Besides me I mean............
